Sheffield-Based Refurbishment for Scissors & Edge Tools
Specialist restoration for scissors and other bladed tools. Returning tools' performance to a professional standard while ensuring their longevity for many years to come.
How it Works
-
1. Get in Touch
Reach out with a short description of the work you would like carrying out.
-
2. Assess the Job
I'll tell you what I'd recommend along with the processes and price.
-
3. Post or Drop off
Send the item to my workshop. Local drop-off can also be arranged.
-
4. Refurbish & Return
I'll repair the item before sending it back ready for use or display.
How long does it take?
Turnaround is normally within 2 weeks.
Do you remove the patina from antique scissors?
Only when it poses a rusting risk, or only if requested.
Are any scissors beyond repair?
Not that I have found, though I will advise if repair is uneconomical.
A Tool-by-Tool Approach
I’ll always be straightforward about what I think is feasible and true to what is important to you. Sometimes that means a "good-as-new" restoration. Other times it means keeping as much age and character as possible, while making the piece it functional again.
Attach up to five images of your scissors, along with your message, to help with assessing the work that needs carrying out.
